Launch Day is a mini-conference packed with talks and networking for students who are curious about entrepreneurship and technology. Expect an evening of inspiration and motivation!
Through a distinguished range of speakers, our aim is to enable you to further understand what an entrepreneurial journey looks like and how entrepreneurship is achieved in practice. The event will also include a panel and a networking session.

Any Warwick student interested in technology or entrepreneurship.
I know nothing about tech. Can I come?
Yes! We warmly welcome anyone willing to learn, and this event will be all about discovering the entrepreneurial environment from Warwick and beyond.
Who is running
We're a team of tech-loving students from WarwickTECH, a student-led angel fund backing founders from Warwick University. We aim to empower students to pursue tech entrepreneurship and innovation.

Ali has worked at EF for 2 years across four different teams. After spending her first 6 months working on re-branding the company globally, she moved to the talent team where she helped recruit up to 200 founders to the programme. For the last year, Ali has worked with 100 founders from the very beginnings of the company building process and supported a further 30 individuals helping them to secure ~£6m seed financing.
Steve is a an ex-Google employee who amongst other things was responsible for the implementation of DeepMind into Google Brain; he is a world-class deep learning expert who advises the European Commission on this area - he was also an 'expert in residence' at Atomico, Europe's largest pure play venture fund, and is also an angel investor.
Lian is a founder and an investor who completed a Master's in Engineering at the University of Warwick. She is currently a capital advisor at Antler, a global early-stage VC firm that has made 190 portfolio company investments across 30 industries in the last 2 years. Lian is also co-founder of Allocate, an event platform which aims to support the European tech venture ecosystem.
Alex is currently an advisor at Cambrial Capital, an investment firm specialised in the digital assets (crypto) space, and is a former Mathematics student from the University of Warwick. He has a diverse background that brings together finance and startups: he worked in Picus Capital, Morgan Stanley as well as Google. Alex is also a co-founder of Access, a collective bringing innovative electronic music together from all over the globe.
